Why Young Explorers Club?

We are a small, independent creche and preschool in Dublin 15. Families come to us from Corduff, Mulhuddart, Tyrrelstown, Castleknock, Clonsilla, Ongar, Hartstown and Huntstown, and most of them found us the same way: a parent they know told them about us.

Our approach is simple. We prepare a calm, home-like environment, we watch closely, and we keep adapting it so every child can grow at their own pace, physically, socially, emotionally and intellectually. We follow Aistear, Ireland's early childhood curriculum, and the Síolta quality framework, and we believe children learn best when they feel secure, respected and free to explore.

Three rooms, one gentle journey

Each room has its own team, space and rhythm. Children move up when they are ready, not just when they have a birthday, and we plan the move with you, with settling-in visits to the new room first.

First steps, first words and first friendships. A cosy, low-stimulation room with treasure baskets, water play, soft textures and lots of one-to-one time. We follow your child's home routine for naps and bottles and log every feed, nappy and sleep on Famly.

Big feelings, big curiosity. Toddlers get room to move, mess to make and words to find: paints and clay, obstacle courses, songs and simple conversations, early independence at snack time, and gentle, consistent support with toileting when the time is right.

Our school-readiness room. Letters, numbers and maths games, science and nature discovery, role play and group projects, inside a structured morning that is also the free ECCE session. Children leave us for primary school in Dublin 15 confident, curious and independent.

Not just minding. A curriculum with a name for everything.

We plan every week around Aistear's four themes, Well-being, Identity & Belonging, Communicating, and Exploring & Thinking, and the Síolta quality standards. Then we make it ours. These are the programmes your child will talk about at dinner.

Fees, NCS, ECCE and AIM

Three government schemes. We handle the paperwork with you.

One fee for every room: €1,144 a month, full day. Most families looking for childcare in Dublin 15 pay far less once the National Childcare Scheme and free ECCE hours come off. Every child can use NCS from 12 months, every eligible child gets ECCE free inside the full day, and children who need extra support are welcomed through AIM.

ECCE, free preschool

Who
Children aged 2 years 8 months by 31 August of the year they start, for two years, until primary school.
How much
3 hours a day, 5 days a week, 38 weeks a year, free.

The ECCE session is our Preschool morning. It comes off your fee as a flat €204.25 a month.
You need
Your child's PPS number and birth cert or passport. We do the registration.

NCS, National Childcare Scheme

Universal
€2.14 an hour, for every child, no means test. We claim 45 hours a week, or 30 hours a week alongside ECCE.
Income-assessed
Up to €5.10 an hour. From 31 August 2026 the thresholds are €34,000 (maximum) and €68,000 (minimum), with multiple-child deductions.
How
Apply at ncs.gov.ie (opens in a new tab) with MyGovID, get your CHICK code, send it to us. Most parents finish in under 20 minutes.

AIM, Access and Inclusion Model

What
Support so every child can take part fully in ECCE preschool, whatever their needs.

We apply with you for the level of support your child needs, from equipment and training to extra staffing in the room.

Nothing. AIM supports are funded by the Department.
